Today we’ve made a change to My Music Staff that allows you to add fees to multiple families at once. This is a real time saver if you charge your families any sort of annual or per-semester fee.
To make this work, we split the “Payments, Fees and Credits” button on the “Families & Invoices” page into to two separate options. There’s now a button for “Add Payment or Credit” which works just like it did before, and there’s a new button labelled “Add Fees”.
The “Add Fees” popup allows you select multiple families (there’s also a handy shortcut to select all your active families). There are also two new options:
- One fee per family – This will create a single fee for each selected family, regardless of how many students in that family are taking lessons from you.
- One fee per student – This will create a fee entry for each active student in the family. For example, a family with 3 students taking lessons from you would get the fee added to their account 3 times; once for each student.
Note that if you’re zoomed in to view the “Family Summary” page, the “Add Fee” button will only add the fee to the current family. To add a fee to multiple accounts you must be viewing the high level “Families & Invoices” page.
