This week we introduced our “Season of Giving” campaign for subscribed members. If you’re a subscribed My Music Staff member, you can use the “Season of Giving” link in your My Music Staff Home Agenda to tell a friend. If your friend subscribes, you both get a free month! The more you give, the more you get!
Other changes this week:
- We’ve added the ability to send an SMS invoice notification (and payment receipt for families using auto-pay). For this feature to work, you’ll need to enable it in your Studio Settings page and ensure that the parent has at least one phone number setup with “Texting Allowed“.
- The “Messaging” tab in Studio Settings has been renamed “Email & SMS“, and new SMS templates are available for customizing the messaging for the new invoice and invoice reminder SMS messages.
- Added the ability to change the time that auto-invoices are sent from My Music Staff. This setting is available on “Studio Settings > Account and Invoices tab”. We’ve changed everyone’s default from midnight to 8AM.
- We made a couple of optimizations to My Music Staff hosted websites so that they’ll load a bit faster.
Did you know? We adjusted the student payment process so that if the parent had previously logged in using the “Remember Me” option, they’re automatically remembered if they pay an invoice directly from the “Click here to pay this invoice online” link.

May I know what triggers the SMS in regards to the invoice reminder? Do they send it on the due date or do we need to trigger the reminder manually?

Great question. You can enable the feature from your Studio Settings -> Accounts & Invoices -> Send SMS invoice notifications and reminders. The SMS will send out in tandem with the email reminder. The SMS message will notify the family that they have an invoice and direct the family to check their email for more details.
